Toast
Song
APO's official fraternity song, sung to the tune of
Alma Mater, is usually sung at the end of all fraternity
functions. (meetings, ceremonies, conferences, etc.)

Annod
This stuffed black-and-white cow has been our mascot
since Fall 1995. Throughout the semester, he is passed
from one Brother of the Week to the next. Annod always
accompanies us to conferences, where he has become a
favorite target for chapters with sticky fingers. Luckily,
he has always returned to us safely.
Mu
A 3-inch miniature of Annod was introduced as our Pledge
Class mascot in 1998. Similar to Annod, Mu is passed
around from one Pledge of the Week to the next. The
Pledge Educator takes care of Mu when the pledging period
ends. Unfortunately, Mu is lost and presumed gone :(
Jay
Mu's successor as Pledge mascot. Introduced in the Spring
of 2004 to the Jason Aring Pledge Class. Hopefully,
no harm will ever befall Jay.
Gavel
Stealing
This ongoing game is very popular in our chapter. The
pledge class and the chapter are able to steal the gavels
of the Pledge Educator and Chapter President, respectively.
The brother(s) who steal the gavel may require the President/Pledge-Ed
to earn it back by performing a task chosen by the thief
or thieves. The only catch is that the President/Pledge-Ed
may require that the thief or thieves perform the task
with them.
Muggings
At the end of each chapter meeting, before we sing the
Toast Song, we send the muggings can around the room.
Brothers may deposit spare change into the can in exchange
for time to talk about anything they choose - accomplishments,
setbacks, or just how their day went. Anything goes!
Just watch out - if you forget your change, be prepared
to have some tossed your way when it's your turn.
APO
Elf
Each semester, a brother is secretly chosen to be the
APO Elf for our chapter. The Elf brings a little extra
joy and happiness to the chapter through anonymous acts
of kindness. In the past, the Elf has made our days
brighter by bringing snacks to chapter meetings and
sending greetings through campus mail.
