Leadership, Friendship, and Service
Alpha Phi Omega is a national co-ed community
service fraternity. Our brotherhood is dedicated to
the ideals of developing leadership, fostering friendship,
and performing community service. There are over 350 chapters
at colleges and universities nationwide. Theta Upsilon,
the chapter at Case Western Reserve University, has
a membership of about 70 brothers. We are open to all
undergraduate students. If you are interested in learning

Leadership
Alpha Phi Omega offers its members many
opportunities for leadership development. At the chapter
level, a pledge may serve on various committees. Once
an active brother, a student may
become an officer and is expected to serve on a chapter
committee. At the Sectional, Regional, and National
levels, workshops and conferences are held regularly
to develop leadership among members. These are important
skills, not only within the chater but also in life.
Friendship
While offering valuable leadership opportunities,
a distinguishing characteristic of APO is its many social
activities. Chapter activities to promote friendship
include picnics, retreats, and parties held after meetings
and service projects.
Service
Alpha Phi Omega is the only national fraternity
with service as its primary mission. Community projects
have included organizing neighborhood cleanups, working
in nursing homes, helping at Ronald McDonald House,
and many, many others... There are also campus projects
such as ushering at official university events, assisting
and orientating new students, tutoring, and volunteering
in campus offices.
